Jammers Int. Weekend League, SE12
Game 6, 13.02.16
UWC Dover Campus
ENTOURAGE BBALL INC vs. JAMMERS: 57 – 39
The second matchup between the old rivals this season was a straightforward affair; Entourage Bball was the better team from the opening tip. Having lost to Jammers a month ago, the home team demonstrated a focused approach to the game, and pressured the opposing ball-handlers allover the court.

Jammers frontcourt, known for their chippy style of play, were neutralised by the Entourage big men. The battles in the paint were intense:

The men in black & green kept converting big plays, keeping the pressure on and maintaining their 8-10 point lead throughout the game.

Unselfish play and crisp passing were one of the keys to the victory:

Comeback attempts were stifled with solid D, anchored by big Tony, which led to multiple fastbreak opportunities.

Plus, keeping a cool head helped:

Performance rating
Backcourt
Alert, determined, unselfish: the guards finally got their act together. Best game by the backcourt so far this season. Evan, Terry, Tony C. and newcomer Mike were defensive terrors against Jammers backcourt.
Standout players: Evan, Tony C.
Frontcourt
Always the mainstay of the team, the bigs stepped their game up even more against the league’s “craftiest” frontcourt. Fantastic battles in the paint all game long, bigs took turns neutralising the strong rebounders of team J. Good passing out of the post by big Tony who also had a field day on the offensive glass.
Standout players: Big Tony, Tolga & Sébastien
Overall
2nd superb defensive game in a row, tone was set from the 1st possession on with full-court D by Evan and Tery. Deflections, steals etc. led to multiple breakaway layups. Good result against a longtime rival avenging the loss from January.
Standout player: Evan
