Positive start to the new season

Crossover Basketball League (SE3)
Game 2, Sat. 11.02.17
@ SUTD sports complex

The SE2 Champs followed up a convincing 19-point victory in the season opener with a dominant win against league newcomers, Kaplan Knights.
Unlike the sluggish first half against Team Red Leon last week, the starting unit, backcourt Javier and Chi plus a frontcourt consisting of Terence, Mike and Jean Baptiste, were alert: pounced on the Knights.

Racing off to an 18-2 lead in the first quarter, Team E.B.I. showcased exciting Basketball on both ends of the court. Aggressive defense resulted in turnovers which were readily converted into points. With the rebounding battle being a one-sided affair, guards could race off and score on the break throughout the game.

There was no easing-up when the second unit stepped on-court either. The E.B.I. ‘rookies’ Alejandro and Lester supported by Jerel, Alex and Ronnie kept their collective foot on the gas. The game was decided by halftime, emphatically underscored by Jerel deciding to sit out the rest of the match, willingly giving up his playing time to his teammates. Player-coach Jean Jacques was also able to get in on the action, leading by example.

Game three of the regular season is this Sunday evening against gritty opponents JustCo, who have picked up stronger guards to improve their roster.
EntourageBBall Inc. refuses to be complacent however, as Thursday sees them facing off against former NBL team, Boon Lay, in a friendly match, the first of the year.
