Crossover League Finals, best-of-three series
Game 1
Entourage Basketball Inc. vs. Yong Seng: 73 – 67
EntourageBBall Inc takes game one of the Crossover League Finals, edging out Yong Seng in a hard-fought, entertaining contest. An innovative move by the league, assigning three instead of the usual two referees, helped keep the game in focus instead of the usual funny business that plagued past matches between these two top teams.
Led by the team’s second oldest player, Chi, the men in black recovered from a sluggish start to regain the lead in the second quarter, never relinquishing it till the final buzzer. Chi, playing at a frenetic pace, had very strong support from shooting guard extraordinaire, Jerel, the team’s very own “stifle tower” Jean Baptiste and crafty point guard Andro on the offensive end.

The entire team contributed, sometimes sacrificing their bodies, on defense. It was a testament to their opponent’s youth and athleticism that the game was close late, since
E.B.I. had until then controlled the pace.
Yong Seng, previously unbeaten this season, mounted a furious comeback in the fourth quarter after trailing by 16 points with 5 minutes to play. Steady shot-making, a resurgence in Freethrow shooting prowess and outright hustle secured the win for E.B.I.

Riding a seven-game winning streak, the defending champs avenged their only regular season loss while taking control of the Finals series.
Game 2 is this Saturday, both teams need to win: EntourageBBall Inc to secure the championship and their opponent to stave off elimination.
Should be a good one.
