E.B.I. ends regular season with ninth straight win

Entourage Basketball Inc vs. Lights Out 60 – 48

Coming off an intense, draining overtime victory against Proform, team E.B.I was unable to dominate the last game of the regular season against Lights Out. Always an opponent to be wary of, the guard-heavy Lights Out team kept the score close all game long. Ultimately though, the defending Champs’ defense and rebounding secured them their ninth consecutive win.

Four months after suffering their only defeat of the campaign, EntourageBBall Inc. finishes the Crossover League regular season at the top of the standings. Identical 10 – 1 records see both E.B.I and Proform leading the table, E.B.I concedes the #1 spot to Proform based on point differential

The squad has been resilient all season long, overcoming the losses of multiple core players, a coaching change and the addition of new faces mid-season. Another issue being the lack of players in practice, a worrisome development that led to two straight practice sessions being cancelled this month (previously unheard of).

Heading into Round one of the playoffs, it would be easy to claim that the top 2 teams would be the favorites to win the title. That would be foolhardy, as countless examples in various sports have demonstrated the folly of wrong predictions.

E.B.I will be prepared to face their quarterfinal opponent, the Kaplan Knights. Heavily favoured to win, the experienced roster will not be counting their chickens before they hatch: gotta play the games first.
