Entourage Weekday league team cements their status as favorites to repeat this season with an 81 – 74 win against the previously undefeated team Schoolers.

With multiple Weekday leagues premiering in Singapore, the FastBreak league Champs were intensely courted by the new organisations.
Ultimately E.B.I.-Midweek team managers Jean Baptist and Robert decided to return to FastBreak Men’s League.
Led by a steady hand with fantastic courts at UWC-East Tampines and boasting open communication, a full season schedule pre-released and stable fees, FastBreak League remains one of the premier recreational leagues in Singapore.

Plus it took E.B.I. 4 years to finally win the title: gotta try and repeat the feat.

Despite losing some teams to the newest leagues in town (Grandeurbc & RunNgun BBall) FastBreak is hosting 8 teams this Fall ’18 season in a 14-game regular season slate.

With more Weekend league players than ever integrated into the Midweek-Squad, 9(!) of the 16-man roster, Entourage Basketball Inc. has been on a roll. Far from dominating opponents, there were 4 single-digit wins in the first 6 games including an Overtime thriller, the Champs have persevered their way to a 9-0 record. The two blowout wins against Dragons and former E.B.I.-teammate Josh’s AIS Sharks team ( see Gifs below) demonstrated the potential of the deep squad.

Adding two new experienced bigs, power forward Lukas and Forward Micah, has given the team the most flexible Frontcourt in the league, perhaps even in the country. Centers JB and Tom, forwards Will, Rob and Alex round out an imposing big man rotation this season.

Not that the guard Corp is anything to sneer at either. Joining the established vets Chi, Javier and Julian and Terence this season are three-time Crossover League champions Jerel and Alejandro: two highly skilled scorers.

Embracing EntourageBBall Inc’s team-first philosophy, the team captains have smoothly run the large roster this season, one of the most talented the Weekday squad has ever assembled.

It all culminated in a satisfying victory this Wednesday against the only other unbeaten team in the League: perennial threats, The Schoolers. Even after losing their main scoring threat, team Schoolers’ veteran roster had waltzed through the early part of the regular season, boasting a 7-0 record. Wednesday’s game was the first meeting of both teams since last season’s Final.

Going through the game stats, two incredible lines catch the eye, E.B.I with 31 turnovers and Schoolers’ 9 – 44 on three-pointers. Despite that, the game was close throughout, a testament to both team’s quality.
The victors also broke the Club’s unbeaten streak record, 18 straight wins, previously held by the 2017 Weekend league team, by winning their 19th straight game going back to last season’s undefeated campaign.

The defending Champs now have a week off before attacking the tail end of the schedule. With five more games to be played, EntourageBBall Inc (and the Schoolers) seem to be the teams to beat this Fall 2018 FastBreak season.
