BlitzCap: BPL Game 3

ENTOURAGEBBALL INC. vs TITANS: 93 – 89

Basketball Premier League (SE2)
Regular Season, Game 2
14.09.19 @ GESS

Following up an avoidable season-opening loss to Proform with a 36-point drubbing of (an undermanned) Team Baraki, E.B.I’s Weekend League squad faced off against the till then unbeaten young Titans in the 3rd game of the BPL regular season.

A high-scoring young team that excels in the open court, Titans were confident, cocky even. Carrying a 4-pt lead into the halftime break, Titans had been able to outplay the EntourageBBall defense, repeatedly racing to the hoop and often getting sent to the Freethrow-line as a consequence.
E.B.I. vets Lester (14 Pts) & Jerel (Game-high 29 Points) stemmed the tide by carrying most of the scoring load in the first half but spearheaded by Player-coach Spencer Templeton (27 Pts, 18 Rebs, 5 Blocks!), Titans raced off to a double-digit lead in the 3rd quarter.

Down 11 early in the fourth, the veteran savvy of the Men-in-green shone through. Point Guard Alejandro (16 Pts, 6 Assts) and Small Forward Arno (25 Pts, 9 Rebs) enforced their will on offence, while combo-guards Terence, Dave and Chi increased pressure on defense. The Titans unraveled the closer the game got, trash talking, silly fouls and turnovers all aided E.B.I in their comeback. Fittingly, 3 Year EntourageBBall vet Jerel sealed the win with a Freethrow, 8 seconds before the final buzzer.

Entourage Basketball Inc. rode an impressive 4th Quarter run to secure the second victory of the season, winning the quarter 34-25. With only 10 regular season games to be played, it was an important milestone against a solid opponent playing with lots of confidence. Last night an 8-man E.B.I. squad held a friendly match against SG Basketballs NBL 2nd Division team, winning handily. The next BPL opponent, japanese team Red Leon, awaits this Sunday.
