The third round of Games in our Intraclub League, SPRING JAM 2021, Featured fast paced Basketball and a surprise loss for a previously unbeaten Team.

Coming off a 2-Point loss against the Panthers in Week 2, the E.B.I. Jaguars quickly regained their composure, racing off to an early double-digit lead against the 0-3 Sharks. Jags Forwards, Micah and Juraj carried the scoring load this time, with the crafty Micah effortlessly getting his Points in the Paint. The Back court of Terence and Dave did their part on the defensive end while also contributing on offense.

The Jaguars have established themselves as one of the Teams to beat after 3 Games, but Sharks, led by tireless, slashing Forward, Josh, brought the lead back to single digits early in the 4th Quarter before their opponent regained control at the End. Sharks, saddled with injuries to vital roster players, are still seeking their 1st win.

The only unbeaten Team left in the Competion, Panthers, knew before their Matchup against the surging Cobras (1-1), that their bruising Center, Rob, would be unavailable. Adjustments were needed. Cobras on the other hand welcomed EntourageBBall Big Man, Hong Ming, into their Ranks. His first session with the Club since the Pandemic curbed all activities in Singapore last April.

Panthers, usually dominant on the boards, could not rely on 2nd chance Points, so they tried their luck with speeding up their game.

But Two could play the Fastbreak game…

Cobras Point Guard, Chi, was pivotal in leading his team, seemingly always having an answer for every Run the Panthers went on.

The Cobras ultimately defeated the League Leaders with an impressive inside/outside game, complemented by long passes to a streaking James who finished well on the Break. The scoring has gone up every Week of Spring Jam, Teams now comfortable with the Pace of 4-on-4 Fullcourt Action, only a matter of time before the 50 Point barrier is shattered.
